Direct Care Resources works collaboratively with Child Safety Services within the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs to provide high quality, professional out-of-home care, supervision, and management to children at risk.

We are an accredited service provider holding an organisation level licence incorporating the Queensland Government’s Human Services Quality Framework.

Child Protection

Our residences are located across South-East Queensland with each fully staffed on a 24/7 basis by a small, experienced team of Support Workers who are fully trained in managing children and young people (especially those with challenging behaviours) in care.

The small care team means that children and young people have consistency and certainty in the delivery of their care and that DCR can develop a schedule of developmental activities and behavioural boundaries to be consistently applied.

DCR ensures that all care staff in Child Protection have a Blue Card, a clearance from the Licensing of Care Services Under the Child Protection Act 1999, a Hope and Healing training certificate, and a relevant qualification of Certificate IV or higher.
