The Turning Point

Living and Working: A Vocational Training and Employment Program for Young People and Adults with a Disability

MPloy provides individual structured vocational assessment, learning programs and work experience opportunities to our clients in conjunction with TAFE, other vocational training providers and local employers. DCR employs a number of care staff who are fully qualified tradespersons in such areas as carpentry, plastering, painting, horticulture and hospitality. Clients assessed as being suitable to these trades can receive continuous skill development and care support under the supervision of these staff.

MPloy will-

  • Coordinate the development and delivery of tailored vocational programs aligned with client preferences
  • Liaise with local employers to provide work experience and apprenticeships
  • Develop individual ‘on-the-job’ training programs for clients supervised by DCR tradespersons

MPloy aims to provide young people in care and adults with a disability with the skills, knowledge and opportunity to secure ongoing meaningful employment in the community to ensure their financial security.
