As well as Planned Respite, we provide Emergency Respite services for families caring for adults with a disability and for foster carers of children and young people who need some immediate ‘time out’ for themselves.
We have designed this service to enable our staff to respond quickly to the needs of families in crisis and, indeed, to all primary carers who are experiencing stress and tension as a result of this demanding role.
Our care staff are available to transport clients from their residence to our respite facilities in Toowoomba, Ipswich, Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Bribie Island and to provide care and support in a safe, comfortable environment. Upon conclusion of the agreed respite period, our care staff will transport clients back to their place of permanent residence.
Emergency Respite can be provided on request for a period negotiated between our staff, families or fosters carers and the government funding agency.
